Jesse Jags And The "Redemption" Song

You know a good song when you listen to one. from the start you are addicted, entranced to the rhythm  and the lyrics becomes a kind of gospel, so divine that you fear it becomes a sin if a single word should even escape your grasp, such is the depth and feel of a good music, it makes of you a disciple and sends you on that errand to preach its relevance. A good Nigerian song is equally of the same variety and Jesse Jags delivers on his song titled "Redemption".

Never was a true fan, until that sleepless night got me watching Sound City and i beheld a video through which Jesse jags would become a new figure, deserving a new kind of respect from me. It was as if a bright light descended from the heavens, lighted my ignorance and brought to the fore the real Jesse jags i never knew. I appreciated The Brothers lyrical outburst and uniqueness and so like a new convert i am here to preach of the REDEMPTION gospel.

M.I was always the one to receive all the accolades, fame, you name it. but Jesse was also on his own pace, his own fans and fame but little did i know that between the two Abaga, Jesse was the one with  well crafted flavor that goes beyond mere hype.

M.I maybe the Chairman but Jesse is definitely the essence of the Chocolate City and one to look out for. the song is a great one, the style of delivery is efficiently unique and  sets Jesse Jags upon his own pedestal, One last phrase " Jagga fear no man no duppy"

Redemption Lyrics

Man dem fi hear me out
Everytin moving fast dey are wear me out
Man puff spliff drink beer and stout
Man dem na fi wear me out
No fi wear me out
I swear Babylon demma fear me clout
Wanna know Jagga where about
Everything in da news you are hear about
Jesse Jagga air it out

It’s Jesse Jagz nation baby

Man never fear nothing
Raised by the streets me na wear nothing
Youths never hear nothing
Babylon empire never share nothing
Musicians are beer popping
We near rotten
Clergy a swear nothing
Only sound in the air is tear dropping
Electric out is near shocking
Hear something
Piercing and ear popping
Soul rebel.. music is chair rocking
Revolutionary air force
Air dropping
Apocalypse vocals so clear cutting
No bloodshed flow and clear spotting
I never buckle to the pressure from me peer fucking
Game tight no truth and no dare nothing
Fear nothing, don’t fear me hair locking
Red gangster high from the air puffing
Dread rasta man never fear nothing
And Jah never moved by mere talking
His universal power gives spear blocking
Even if Babylon gone air cocking
It means war fun fair stopping
Everyman gat a right to compare nothing
This man never fear nothing

All the way to Calvary
Never fearing the opposing power he
Jah rastafari
Revolutionary soldier on the hourly
No home and no family
The whole world living in vanity
Jah rastafari
Until Babylon fall from calamity

Haile sellassie hear me
Been seeking your face on daily
Conquering Babylon Israeli style
Revolutionary soldier moving steady I
And steady I
Hear me I
Been seeking ur face on daily
Conquering Babylon Israeli style
Revolutionary soldier moving steady I
And steady I

The streets love nobody
Everything full of shit and no potty
Smoke down I and I, eye so dutty
Jagga fear no man fear no duppy
The streets love nobody
Revolution on CD get your own copy
Thanksgiving in the ghetto nigga no turkey
No teddy bear everything so chucky
No love politician demma go doggy
All of dem so lucky
So the flow dutty
Head smashed on the wall like snow hockey
Spurned backwards like a disco jockey
And master on high
Jah rastafari eh
Light us to the sky
We aire and fly

All the way to Calvary
Never fearing the opposing power he
Jah rastafari
Revolutionary soldier on the hourly
No home and no family
The whole world living in vanity
Jah rastafari
Babylon fall from calamity

Haile sellassie hear me
Been seeking your face on daily
Conquering Babylon Israeli style.
Revolutionary soldier moving steady I
Hear me I
Seeking ur face on daily
Israeli style
Moving steady I
Steady I

It’s Jesse Jagz Nation baby
